Gholam is an enigmatic quiet Iranian cab driver with two jobs and no apparent interest in the money.
Every day, he eats at his uncle’s café while aware of being betrayed by him. Although he has agreed to
his mother’s plan to return to Iran, he has no intention of doing so. Once a war hero, he has
disappeared from the battlefield without a trace. He does not want to look back into his past and has no
conviction for the future. Yet, he gets involved in the conflict of a total stranger and carries it through to
the very end.
