Cross-cultural tensions, star-crossed lovers, flamenco dancing and a hot summer sun: Geronimo captures the passion and chaos that ensues when a teenage girl of Turkish origin elopes with her gypsy lover, leaving in her wake of an arranged marriage and a community in uproar. At the centre of it all is Geronimo (Celine Sallette, “Rust and Bone”), a devoted social educator struggling to extinguish the violence between these two clans.
