Crulic The Path to Beyond is an animated documentary feature-length film that tells the story of the life of Crulic, a 33 years old Romanian accused of having stolen a wallet from the important Polish Judge. Crulic is brought to the Krakow Detention Center Custody prison where he starts a hunger strike. He requests a meeting with somebody from the Romanian Consulate and a change of the attorney. In exchange, the Consul writes reply, in which he advises Crulic to put his trust in Polish justice.

Crulic claims he was in Italy at the day of the theft, that his bus ticket and the record containing the passengers’ names confirm his innocence. His detention is lengthened by 3 months. Eventually the Court agrees to release him so he can be treated in a civilian hospital. He dies after 16 hours. Press investigation starts in both countries, an investigation that concludes with the resignation of the Minister of the Foreign Affairs . In Poland, 3 doctors are officially accused of Crulic’s death.
