Sisters Farrah, Miriam and Layla gather for their monthly hair removal and chai session. With them they bring years of family drama and inches of stubborn body hair.

Meanwhile, their daughters, 18-year-old Rina and 12-year-old Nora, observe and are engulfed in the madness of hair, observing the witchy matriarchs as they get caught up in a whirlwind of emotions that come with unfinished business for the suburbanite Iranian diaspora.

Things get larger than life, blending comedy and tragedy as each woman erupts with pent up feelings from the past and one final hair almost gets the best of them.

They rip! They tear, thread, and unravel years of trauma, while guiding their daughters to do the same one day. At last, new initiate Nora receives the call of duty and must prove her Persian chops… for the family!
