Zhaleh and Hamed are two youth of the “after-the-revolution” generation whose families had to leave Iran in the hope of having a peaceful life in Turkey. However, the new life is still not what the two are looking for. They are trying to leave Turkey illegally in order to settle in the West. The film follows two parallel stories of the happy days when the pair first met, and the hours when they are trying to escape the harsh realities of living in Istanbul.
“Hatred” is the début feature by the new Iranian talent, Reza Dormishian, who has received international recognition for this masterfully made film.
